Railway Building Renovation
ULTRA 8 cavity drain membrane has been choosen to waterproof the basement of this local historical building in Lancashire. The disused maintenance building that was built to maintain the steam trains that serviced the East Lancashire railway line, will soon be converted into a modern, open-plan Indian restaurant.
The large stone building is constructed into the side of a steep hill and is suffering from water ingress due to a build up of hydrostatic pressure. Over 360m2 of ULTRA 8 membrane will be installed along with a range of ULTRA drainage and accessory products. The basement contractor was chosen because of their extensive experience in waterproofing large basements in London.
